In January, 2024, EngageAI expanded afterschool programming to The Boys’ Club of New York’s Gerry Clubhouse. At the Clubhouse, EngageAI led a 14-session course on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for 6th and 7th-grade students.
Students learned about a variety of applications of Machine Learning/AI, including image creation, deepfake generation, image classification, facial recognition, natural language processing and more. Students cumulated this course by proposing their very own AI-based technological creations. While this course was made completely optional for students to attend, there was robust attendance and an eager sense of excitement around these workshops.
